In case anyone doesn't know, but might be interested...
During the 2011/2012 theater season, the Royal London Theater will be making a tour of the U.K. and the U.S. with their London smash adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. This is not a musical, but a play and it has been sold out every night during it's innogural run in London England.

Well, hopefully, it'll be better than the films. I saw one of them and it was horrible. I highly recommend the BBC audio dramadisation. It's fantastic. It's also on youtube and there's one of The Hobbit too. Actually, there are a few of that one.

I loved the books, regular and dramatized and the movies were really well done. If I find out anymore info, I'll post it.

I also really loved the movies. My only real complaint with them was what the did in The Two Towers, since TOlkien had explicitly stated that Faramir would under no circumstances have taken the Ring. So I wasn't too happy with Peter Jackson changing that. And I didn't particularly care for the way Aragorn was depicted either, since in the novels he'd seemingly gotten over any angst about being descended from the man who allowed Sauron's spirit to survive and was prepared to take the throne of Gondor.

Me, I'm hoping for a movie based on the Hobbit, and one better than that cartoon. I used to love it but now it makes me cringe.
